José Luis Ucha

José Luis Ucha is a spanish storyteller, writer and director. His debut as movie director and as such, a major influence to the newest generation of MLP, was in fact the movie “My Little Pony: A New Generation”!

Taking on such a big project requires a lot of experience and his last 20 years have been devoted to development, writing, production and direction of over 900 episodes of 20 finished animated projects.

Notable projects include the TV series “Suckers”, “Canimals”, or “Bernard” for which he has also received awards like Best Animation in Anima Mundi 2004 and Finalist Best TV Series Annecy 2005! Newest additions to the list from recent years are the shows “Zoobabu” and “Invizimals”.
