2020 has come to an end and we are looking back on an eventful year – without any big events, but even more going on in the background. A lot of uncertainties, unpleasant surprises and hard work was necessary to get through 2020. But after all, we could organize two successful online events and find ways to save GalaCon and Everfree Encore through this pandemic – thanks to your support!
- GalaCon Online 2020 was the first online event we have ever organized. On two days, more than 180 viewers followed our live stream with guests tuning in from all over the world, live music, live games and a big charity event. You can re-visit the first ever Online GalaCon on YouTube.
- Following up was Everfree Encore Online 2020, a live streaming festival featuring many musicians performing from their home. It took a lot of improvising and organization to get this unique event together!
- Everfree Encore and GalaCon were postponed to 2021 and most of you decided to keep their tickets. Thanks to this great support, we could get through this pandemic without severe losses, but we of course had to take some financial cutbacks. Many of you already donated to our fundraising campaign or bought our merchandise. We are very thankful for your generousness!
- Even during these difficult times, the generosity of the community knows no borders. For our new charity partner, Make-A-Wish Germany, you donated a (converted) total of 4.842, – €!
We hope that we can meet you all again in person this year and are doing our best to make this happen. We wish you all the best for 2021 and stay strong!
